Michael Motolko, MD

Dr. Motolko joined Koch Eye Associates in 1998. His practice is devoted to the diagnosis and medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, as well as its related diseases.

Currently holding the rank of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at both the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, Dr. Motolko is also Director of Ophthalmology Resident Training at the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Motolko has published many medical journal articles and served as glaucoma co-editor for a major ophthalmology textbook. He has received numerous academic awards, as well as surgical and clinical teaching awards. He has also earned the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award.

Dr. Motolko graduated magna cum laude from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa, Canada. After completing his internship at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada, he served his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto, where he received the Diploma in Ophthalmic Science. Dr. Motolko completed two years of glaucoma fellowship training; the first year at the University of British Columbia, and the second at the University of Iowa. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
